According to Greek mythology, Atlas was a Titan who was tasked with "supporting the weight of the world on his shoulders." Atlas Aviation supports the world of aviation in a similar manner.

When started in Florida in July 2002, the goals of the company were to build a chain of FBOs at premier airports and provide general aviation consulting services.  Both goals have been and continue to be met.  Several short and long term FBO consulting projects have been completed.  The FBO acquisition process has included private negotiations for sale, public Request for Proposal (RFP) responses and due diligence work for startup locations.

A team of professionals has been brought together to make us a top quality service provider at any airport.  Atlas Aviation Tampa has been formed as the first FBO, after winning a bid to the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority. Atlas Aviation Merritt Island was added after a private negotiation in 2006. This location was sold in 2008. Additional FBO locations are currently being explored.
