California Trip - August 2008

We started in Lassen Volcanic National Park by climbing Mt. Lassen, a dormant volcano with a summit at 10,457' (a lot of work for a group of people that live at sea level!).  Next, we went to Lake Tahoe where we rode the Flume Trail on mountain bikes, hiked Carson Pass, and kayaked on the east side of the lake.  The final part of the trip was hiking in Yosemite National Park and the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias.  Perfect weather all week!
